The Year 6 children have been investigating Light this half term. We made model eye balls out of playdoh, created periscopes to demonstrate reflection and played with coloured filters to understand how some colours are absorbed and others reflected.

We have also been stuck in to learning about the Titanic and the class have created their very own scaled model of the doomed ship.

During the second half of the Autumn term, we investigated the disappearence of the witch and wrote newspaper reports on this using first hand witness statements. We also took a vist to Norwich Cathedral to learn about how Light is used within RE.

Check back in for Christmas mayhem!

Welcome to Class 6, home of the Peacocks!

Peacocks Class is taught by Mrs Kelly Floyd (Mon-Weds) and Mrs Natalie Kaufman (Weds - Fri) and supported by  Mrs Armstrong.

Our Aim

In year 6 we strive to reach for the stars and 'be the best' that we can be in all areas of our lives. We work hard to achieve our goals and we always give our all! We understand that Year 6 is a challenging year, but that there are also lots great things to look forward to! 'Study hard and play hard' is our Year 6 motto!

We are responsible pupils who respect the thoughts and opinions of others. We work hard and try to give our very best to every task. We're not afraid to ask for a little extra help when we need it as we all face difficulties along the way sometimes.

We set the 'Mellis' example to the younger pupils in the school and enjoy the various roles of responibilty given to us during our final year!.

We have the self belief to be independent, creative and motivated learners!

Meet the Team!
