Take a look at what we have been up to so far this year! We have made periscopes and investigated colour filtering in Science, written wonderful Return to Narnia stories, designed some fantastic artwork using maths as a stimulus and spent the most awesome day out at Gressenhall as evacuees, living in role as home guard and working the land. We also designed and produced a ration/dig for victory style soup which we chopped, cooked, whizzed and ate all in 1.5hrs!

During the Spring Term we visited the Fen for a Geography extravaganza, we enjoyed the 'Beast from the East' on our school field and we explored mystery writing through the text 'The Nowhere Emporiium.' Of course there was the usual SAT booster sessions taking place but we made sure we had fun by creating Mellis landscapes in the style of David Hockney, Made Greek pots and drama masks and creaetd our own secret gardens to inspire our settings description.

Welcome to Class 6, home of the Peacocks!

Peacocks Class is taught by Mrs Kelly Floyd (Mon-Weds) and Mrs Natalie Kaufman (Weds - Fri) and supported by  Mrs Armstrong.

Our Aim

In year 6 we strive to reach for the stars and 'be the best' that we can be in all areas of our lives. We work hard to achieve our goals and we always give our all! We understand that Year 6 is a challenging year, but that there are also lots great things to look forward to! 'Study hard and play hard' is our Year 6 motto!

We are responsible pupils who respect the thoughts and opinions of others. We work hard and try to give our very best to every task. We're not afraid to ask for a little extra help when we need it as we all face difficulties along the way sometimes.

We set the 'Mellis' example to the younger pupils in the school and enjoy the various roles of responibilty given to us during our final year!.

We have the self belief to be independent, creative and motivated learners!

Meet the Team!
