Face Family Advice
Mellis School has recently invested in a subcription to FACE Family Advice, which aims to provide parents with a range of free specific webinars to support challenges at home with children in a range of different ways. The webinars include an overview of each topic, some understanding of the biology behind the behaviours, and some easy to apply interventions. It aims to empower parents to be able to give support to their own children.
A short video about their service can be accessed below.
They offer:
Parental Choice and Control: Online sessions are accessible and interactive, held in both the mornings and evenings on a four-weekly rotation. Parents can access recordings for 48 hours after each live event, offering flexibility and giving parents choice about what, when and how interactive they wish to be.
Targeted Support for Neurodiverse Families: FACE provides support to parents of neurodiverse children without the need for referrals or waiting lists, ensuring timely and direct assistance.
Empowering Parents in Managing Emotions and Behaviour: FACE equips parents with strategies and confidence to support their children’s emotional and behavioural needs, helping families to thrive together.
To access these different sessions, please see the instructions below
Go to facefamilyadvice.co.uk or click here Go to PARENTS – Live talks page.
Accessing the talks free of charge: Mellis School's access code for each month's set of webinars will be emailed direct to parents at the start of each month.
This can be used by any parents or staff from our school for unlimited access to all the regular FACE Parent Talks (usually £24 each). The code cannot be used on any other FACE services and must not be shared with parents or staff from other schools.
At the payment stage of booking, add the school code where it says ADD PROMO CODE. This will drop the price from £24 to £0.

The Freedom Programme is a 12-week course that helps identify behaviours and belief systems held by men who have been abusive, focusing on the impact this may have on both women and children. Through self-awareness, the programme is designed to improve self-esteem and provide the confidence necessary to manage both physically and emotionally abusive relationships. Each programme is run by both male and female facilitators, bringing a male voice and perspective to the room. Our facilitators are trained through the Freedom Programme organisation and have extensive experience of working with families affected by addiction. Recognising that there is no excuse for violence, abuse or coercive control, they aim to encourage women to understand their rights and responsibilities in relationships; to find a voice to say no whilst being fully aware of the risks and how best to manage them in reshaping or leaving an abusive relationship.
